Schmitt inverter

The Schmitt inverter part behaves in the same way as a standard Inverter part, but it has different threshold levels depending on whether the input is rising or falling. Above the threshold level the input voltage is recognised as binary '1'; below the threshold level it is recognised as binary '0'.
